WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE

Archery is a very social sport, where individuals of all ages and abilities participate.  The sport is ideal for families, whether for a fun day out, or for those who become bitten by the bug, joining a club and participating in the various events the club runs over the course of the year. 

Bayeux Bowmen are an active Target Archery club, based at Catsfield Place in the heart of 1066 country. 

The club currently has 40+ members, ranging in ages from 10 to 80+, shooting Longbow, Compound and Recurve (Olympic) bows.  Our members are shooting at various levels from Beginner to County standard. 

We are always open to new members who have completed a beginners course, or who are established archers.  A number of our members run beginners courses at Horntye Sports Centre; further details of which are listed within this site.

The club does not expect individuals to reach a particular standard, this is down to the Archers own requirement. 

The aim of the club is to promote the sport and make it accessible to people of all ages and abilities within the area.  Our club moto is
